A magnificent exhibition

  • Vivian Maier's work was discovered late in 2007 and somewhat by chance at an auction
  • Gouvernante and photographer, born in New York in 1926, she left more than 140,000 photos never shown in her lifetime
  • Witness of her time through her pictures, this photographer with an atypical career was a free, independent, feminist and committed woman
  • Her photos are realistic, touching, some tender when she photographs children and sometimes tinged with humor

  • schedule Monday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 7 pm
  • Open every day except May 1st and December 25th (from 10:30 am to 6 pm on December 24th and 31st)
  • Nocturne on Monday until 22h
  • At the Musée du Luxembourg (in the 6th arrondissement)
  • Free for young people under 26 years old from Monday to Friday
