Everything is open at Pentecost (subject to availability): cruises on the Seine, tours of Paris by tourist bus, must-see monuments such as the Eiffel Tower (be careful, almost full) or the view from the Arc de Triomphe or the view of Paris from the Montparnasse Tower. Parisian museums are open, including for their temporary exhibitions.

Is the Pentecost weekend a good time to come and visit Paris with your family?

Yes, it’s a very pleasant time to visit Paris. In general, the weather is good (beautiful, but not too hot), the days are very long, the cultural life is intense at this time of year. On the other hand, you have to book many activities because there are many tourists in Paris for Pentecost.

Are museums open on Whit Monday?

Seuls les musées habituellement fermés le lundi ne seront pas ouverts le lundi de Pentecôte. Tous les autres musées sont ouverts. Les principaux musées fermés le lundi à Paris sont ceux gérés par la ville de Paris (Par contre, les Musées de la Ville de Paris (Carnavalet, musée d’Art Moderne, Petit Palais …) , le Musée d’Orsay.
