The Cluny Museumorganizes for the first time a weekend dedicated to families

From age 3, and for all ages, fun activities are designed to help children discover the fascinating era of the Middle Ages.

In the program : heraldic and philosophical workshops, guided tours, quizzes and shows... to captivate young minds and keep them entertained at the same time.

The Lady and the Unicorn, miracles and knights, colors and coats of arms will stimulate toddlers' imaginations.

A weekend of immersion in the fabulous world of kings and cathedrals!

Reading and coloring

  • Saturday, April 27 - Ages 3 and up - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - free activity
  • Salle Notre-Dame
  • A coloring or reading break, comfortably seated on colorful mats and cushions. A moment to enjoy in the company of the Kings of Judah.

Heroes and heroines

  • Saturday, April 27 - Ages 8 and up - 3:30 p.m. - Guided tour Duration 1h30 -
  • Meet some of the heroic figures in the museum's collections: knights with extraordinary destinies and miracles in the museum's collections.

Storytelling tour

  • Saturday, April 27 at 2:15 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m. - ages 5 to 7 - for the whole family. Duration 1 hour
  • A rare moment of sharing and pleasure with an extraordinary visit full of surprises in front of the works of art.

Funny animals

  • In search of animals, fantastic or otherwise, in the museum's works ... horses, snails, lions or unicorns ... they all have stories to tell!

Young philosophers: Identity

  • A different take on the Middle Ages with storyteller Carole Visconti: a panel discussion for debate and argument

Children's philosophies: Happiness

  • With storyteller Carole Visconti, children will engage in collective reflection in front of the works of art.

Paper watermark (goldsmith's workshop)

  • Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. - From 6 years of age, for the whole family
  • The "paperolle" allows, from the 15the century, to imitate the gold and silver filigree of goldsmiths on paper. Each participant will contribute to a collective monumental decor to be created over the course of the weekend.

Heraldry

  • Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m. - For families aged 8 and upwards. Duration 2h
  • Children discover the secrets of heraldry and create their own coat of arms.

Discovering the Lady with the Unicorn

  • Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, 3 to 5 p.m. - For families, ages 8 and up. 30-40 min
  • A family quiz with a magic tablet will help you understand the symbols on the Lady with the Unicorn hanging.

Mahaut, fille de bois" show: with Cie Le Carosse d'Or and de Caelis ensemble

  • Sunday, April 28 at 4 p.m. - For families aged 6 and up - Duration 1 hour
  • Legend has it that fairies used to steal babies and replace them with a simple piece of wood. With a lot of love, the stick would come to life... This is where Mahaut's story begins...

"The Middle Ages at Every Age" at the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie

  • Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, 2 p.m. - From age 7 : guided tour, "A story in color", in front of the 1113 scenes that make up the 15 stained-glass windows of the Sainte-Chapelle.

  • Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. - ages 3 to 6 workshop "A forest of stones" as you stroll through the stones at the Conciergerie! Space and architecture
