- On the occasion of the exhibition "Maya Ruiz-Picasso, daughter of Pablo", the Picasso Museum also presents 9 exceptional works from the Maya Ruiz-Picasso collection that have just joined the national collections
- 6 paintings, 2 sculptures and a notebook of drawings, which were kept by Maya, were given to the museum in 2021 as part of a dation
- The nine works are presented chronologically
- it is in particular the portrait of the father of Picasso carried out in 1895 by Picasso then 14 years old, the "child with the lollipop" dated 1938, the portrait of the maternal grandmother of Maya in 1939, the sculpture "the Venus of the Gas" of 1945, a notebook of studies for "the lunch on the grass" of 1962, the head of man painted in Mougins in 1971...
