It's the place to be on the art of building, ancient and modern, designed in an airy, light-filled space.

The museum offers permanent collections and temporary exhibitions on the mysteries of architecture. 1000 years of history explained in a highly educational way.

  • The tour of the permanent collections begins with thean astonishingly vast Galerie des moulages
  • A selection of the most representative monuments of French architectural genius, reproduced to actual scale and in the finest detail.
  • From the Middle Ages to the 18th centurye centuryThese include the angel from Reims Cathedral, the marvellous tympanum from the basilica at Vézelay, the great fountain at Nancy and the model of the Paris Opera!
  • The mural and stained glass gallery is another highlight of the visit... as if you were on vacation, you enter a vaulted crypt, pass under a dome to observe the Romanesque, Gothic or Renaissance paintings that are to be found in France's most beautiful monuments.
  • Finally, the gallery of modern and contemporary architecture traces the great adventure of architecture from 1850 to the present day over an area of 1,800 m2, unique in the world
  • Here, you'll find Haussmann's Paris, La Défense's CNIT, Jean Nouvel's endless tower, and even Le Corbusier in a series of numerous models and photographs to understand all the issues involved in these constructions in the city.

The museum offers a wide range of family activities and courses for teenagers and children all year round. Reservations must be made via the museum's online ticketing service

The Palais de Chaillot, place du Trocaderois part ofhe must-see places in Paris ! It's the ideal place to spend time with the kids.
