Evolution on the way to enlightenment

• Travel through 600 million years in one evening, in the alleys of the Jardin des Plantes and the Menagerie
• After the success of Species on the Way to Illumination in 2018, and Ocean on the Way to Illumination in 2019, the Jardin des Plantes is once again offering a journey through extraordinary giant light sculptures
• It’s a spectacular journey through time, where you’ll discover fascinating life forms that light up when night falls
• Hundreds of monumental light structures depict four geological times
• You will see “celebrities” from the past, such as dinosaurs, but also little-known species with amazing shapes and singular lifestyles.
• All the species presented during this magical and mysterious journey did indeed exist but all of them have now disappeared
• Oversized creatures (prehistoric animals, mysterious plants) are illuminated with a thousand colors
• A night tour that combines art, science and poetry
• This walk echoes the exhibition Sensory Odyssey, currently on display at the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution,

Opening hours of “Evolution on the way to enlightenment”:

• Open every evening from November 29 to January 30, except December 24 and 31
• Access slots every 30 minutes
• 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Visit until 11 p.m.
