Thematic mini-concerts in several areas of the museum and musical workshops in the afternoon for families. The museum entrance ticket allows access to the museum and to the promenade concerts. Free for children under 26.

Tales in the museum, for 4 - 12 years old :

A storyteller and a musician invite children to discover instruments through the magic of the tale. A dialogue between words and music where humor, tenderness and humanity meet. A family activity

Promenade Concerts, from 4 years old :

The concerts-promenades allow musicians, storytellers or dancers to take over the museum by offering concerts, performances, workshops... The museum is thus a place of music and living art, where encounters and discovery are born.

Workshops - Exhibitions :

The exhibition-workshops invite families to share a moment of discovery and musical games around the themes of the exhibitions. They are concluded by a short presentation of the exhibition, which the participants can then visit freely.

  • ORCHESTRANIMAL (as a prelude to the visit of the exhibition Musicanimale) : for the whole family, from 7 years old
  • THE SOUND OF FELA (in the context of the exhibition Fela Anikulapo Kuti) : for the whole family, from 10 years old

Concerts - Walks, for 6 - 12 years old:

The concerts-promenades allow musicians, storytellers or dancers to take over the museum by offering concerts, performances, workshops... The museum is thus a place of music and living art, where encounters and discovery are born.

The music museum

The Musée de la Musique is located in La Villette, in the Cité de la Musique, 300m from the Philharmonie de Paris. It has one of the finest collections of instruments in the world, from the Middle Ages to the present day.

  • More than 7000 works and objects are exhibited at the Museum of Music
  • The museum presents the works in chronological order: the birth of opera, the music of the Enlightenment, romantic Europe, the acceleration of history...
  • The last room is dedicated to to instruments from all over the world
