"ETERNAL MUCHA" at the Grand Palais Immersif

The Grand Palais Immersif is a new exhibition space nestled in the heart of the Opéra Bastille in a space recently opened to the public. Through this immersive exhibition (very high definition projections, original musical and olfactory universe and interactive devices), you will discover an avant-garde artist, icon of Art Nouveau and elegance, and a source of inspiration for today's creation, from street art to manga, from cinema to tattooing.

  • Mucha, a major figure of Art Nouveau, is best known for his advertising posters. He is a very important artist of the turn of the 19th and 20th century
  • His visual language is "eternal", "Eternal Mucha" because his work is still with us today without us noticing it in graphic design, Japanese manga, street art, comics and even in video games
  • The exhibition begins as at theWorkshop of Lights by a spectacular XXL videoA 30-minute digital dive into Art Nouveau. The digital format allows you to admire the details of the posters. It is magnificent, one takes full of eyes of it!
  • Then tactile signs propose us to play with the work of Mucha. We modify the ornaments, the colors. It is educational and fun
  • Finally, a surprising moment of the exhibition "Eternal Mucha": the highlighting of the influence of the work of Mucha in the graphic creation of the Sixties to today. We don't necessarily know Mucha and yet his presence is very strong in the graphic art of the pacifist movement "Flower Power" of the 60s, through Japanese manga, superheroes, street art, vinyl record covers and even in the art of tattooing
  • A very nice exhibition, different, fun, educational and surprising
