The guide was very friendly, but asked a lot of questions when nobody had the answers. For my children, the whole thing stretched on and on. We were also disappointed not to be able to boost the main hall, which was closed for rehearsals.

- No more fun than a classic guided tour
Written by Anne-Claire Harnois, 10-04-2024
I'd deliberately chosen this "fun" tour so that my children wouldn't get bored, and unfortunately I was disappointed ... despite the guide's top-notch content, it's not really adapted to children ... and as a result, it's very long ... not to mention the very high price, which I don't think is worth it. I wouldn't recommend it: you might as well buy tickets for a classic tour!

Very happy with this visit, well adapted for children and parents. The guide, Nathalie, was very appropriate and kept the children interested. The guide's rapport with the children is top-notch. The guide's dynamism and ease of understanding are really appreciated by all. The little text message before the tour telling us how to find our guide was very welcome. The only downside was the length of the tour. Luckily, it was great for keeping us on our toes, but it's also a good thing we'd planned ahead for the afternoon...as we were only in Paris for the day, it could have been a problem....

- Disappointment
Written by Michèle SBERRO, 04-01-2024
With 5 of my grandchildren aged between 8 and 14, this afternoon of fun on Tuesday January 2 was eagerly awaited! What a disappointment to visit the Opera as I've visited it 10 times with adults and even the Ecole du Louvre. Tuesday NOTHING playful! No mystery, no "story", no riddles, no discovery guidelines. A visit for adults with 13 adults and 13 children. After 40 minutes, I didn't dare say to the guide, "Where's the fun in that? Because she quickly handed out an A5 booklet that could have livened up the almost 2 hours .... that were ultimately boring, even for me. So I don't recommend your visit, and I'm sorry I paid.... too much!

- does not correspond to the offer
Written by marion dutoit, 05-12-2023
I didn't find the approach playful. The tour was instructive and child-friendly, but very academic, not at all inventive... the children asked if they were going to be marked when the 'game' was handed out at the end of the tour... The facade was veiled by a work by JR. On the one hand, there was no discount for the reasons of a reduced visit, and on the other hand, you failed to seize the opportunity to tell the story of the work by integrating it into the tour, which I find a great pity. In addition, our guide was disturbed by the late arrivals of visitors. We could feel a great deal of pressure and fear of doing the wrong thing, which was very unpleasant... Finally, the opera was there, and despite the crowds, it remains a monument worth visiting.

what I liked: the animator knows how to capture children's attention. she gives the historical context without giving a history lesson. difficulties: lots of people and tour groups, which spoils the experience a bit. yes, I'd recommend it because it's a fun approach to opera for children, and it's interactive. however, the group size should not be too large.

Written by Françoise, 29-10-2023
what I liked: the grandiose setting and the well-told story what I didn't like : - a long wait in front of the opera house in the rain because of the speaker's lateness, and then the beginning of the explanations, still in front of the opera house and therefore in the rain - the headphone system didn't work properly - because the rehearsal was prolonged, we were unable to see the auditorium, but we were given free tickets to come back, even if there was no rehearsal.
- Painful

- Disappointing
Written by Caroline Huppert, 04-10-2023
It's important to remember that there are a lot of people, countless tourists and visitors, in groups or on their own... we could barely see what was being commented on. The foyer was inaccessible that day. The young guide's commentary was not always child-friendly. There were, however, a few amusing anecdotes about the Phantom of the Opera and its dressing room n°5, as well as the Chagall ceiling covering another.

- Disappointing program
Written by Caroline Huppert, 29-09-2023
The idea of giving families a tour of the opera was a good one. So we took our 3 grandchildren, aged 7 to 10. But the crowds were enormous and we couldn't see everything. The magnificent foyer was privatized. You can't visit the rehearsal studios, the stage or the underground lake. It's not explained clearly enough when you buy the rather expensive tickets. The tour guide was competent, but her comments were sometimes too complex for children.

Fun and interesting tour. The guide took great care of the children. However, this guided tour lacked detail, and a device to hear the guide better would have been appreciated. Good afternoon, Madam, It's true that the façade of the Opera House is currently being renovated. Nevertheless, the Ludique tour of the Opera is a visit that takes place inside the building, and the work does not change the relevance of the visit. Exceptionally, the main auditorium is closed to the public during rehearsals. It's true that this is a bit disappointing, but the main part of the visit is still just as interesting for children. Kind regards
