Discover our itinerary designed to please children but also parents: must-sees, but not only!

Our 2-day tour with children from 0-6 years old

🔴 Day 1 : the Eiffel Tower, the Paris Aquarium, the Louvre district

🔴 Day 2 : the Notre-Dame district, the Jardin des Plantes (with the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution, the Menagerie of the Jardin des Plantes)

😀 We offer alternatives to this tour for families who have already been to Paris or those who are not tempted by these proposals (see below)

Day 1 — The Eiffel Tower, the Paris Aquarium, the Louvre district

Morning — The Eiffel Tower (a must), the Aquarium de Paris

  1. Go up to the 2nd floor or to the top of the Eiffel Tower, accessible by elevator (the Eiffel Tower is free for children under 4 years old): book as soon as possible
  2. The Paris 🐠 Aquarium – It is located on the other side of the Seine (right bank). It is the largest aquarium in Paris and one of the favorite activities of young children. It’s free for children under 3 years old.

💡 Alternative option :

Noon (1 hour) — Around the Tuileries Garden

  • Go for a walk or picnic in the Tuileries 🌳 Garden if the weather allows it or in the gardens of the Palais-Royal (and its Buren columns, very photographic)

Afternoon (2 hours 30 minutes) — Louvre district (several suggestions according to your desires and your budget)

  1. If the weather is nice, take a stroll through the Tuileries Gardens, around the Louvre, towards the Palais-Royal or the Place Vendôme (magnificent). The whole neighborhood is beautiful!
  2. A ride in a Tuk Tuk (the departure is from the Place de la Concorde). It’s fun, relaxing with young children and a fun and quirky way to sightsee
  3. A little trip to the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay or the Musée de l’Orangerie (a small museum with a superb collection of Impressionists and also 2 rooms dedicated to Monet’s Water Lilies) for those who would be frustrated not to do at least one of the great Parisian museums

Our little favorite

  • The storytelling tour “My mini Louvre” 🧡 (for 3-6 year olds) mainly scheduled during the holidays (few dates) – Ideal for introducing children to Art and the Louvre – A visit that will also appeal to parents

Plan B rain 🌧️

  • In this district, the Musée en Herbe (in the 1st arrondissement). It is THE children’s museum with a programme that is always original and designed especially for them

Plan B good weather ☀️

  • The Jardin d’Acclimatation (if the Louvre district doesn’t tempt you), a great little amusement park in the Bois de Boulogne, a paradise for children. Several restaurants for lunch or snacks

Suggestions for eating 🥗

Show in Paris, with or without binoculars

Day 2 — The Notre-Dame district, The Jardin des Plantes

Morning (2 a.m.) — The Notre-Dame Ward

  1. The visit of Notre-Dame : it’s free and you must book online (48 hours before) if you don’t want to queue. If you’re lucky enough to be there on a sunny day, it’s simply beautiful!
  2. Walk on the Ile de la Cité and ice cream at Berthillon

💡 We suggest:

Noon (1 hour) — let off steam and picnic, if the weather is nice

  • The Jardin des Plantes 🌳 is a nice playground for your children to get some fresh air

Afternoon (2:30 p.m.) —

  1. The Grande Galerie de l’Evolution 🧡 This is one of our favorite places in Paris. It is suitable for both the little ones and the older children (don’t miss the gallery of extinct or endangered animals)
  2. The Menagerie of the Jardin des Plantes, a small zoo on a human scale

Plan B if this area doesn’t tempt you

  1. The Villette district (you can easily spend a day there): the Cité des enfants at the Cité des sciences, in the 19th arrondissement (La Villette district). It’s a must with children! The Cité des Sciences also offers exhibitions (always of quality and exciting) for children. Next door, the Children’s Philharmonic (from 4 to 10 years old), a place to play, explore, listen, live and feel music. And the Parc de la Villette is a huge playground for children.

PRACTICE DAY 2

Suggestions for eating 🥗

  • In the Jardin des Plantes, the restaurant Les Belles Plantes
  • At snack time : a change of scenery guaranteed, right next to the Jardin des Plantes, at the café of the Great Mosque of Paris to drink a mint tea and eat oriental pastries

Getting around by Batobus

It’s a very nice way to get around Paris, along the Seine. The stops serve the major tourists of Paris. It’s a good alternative to Seine River cruises if you haven’t had time to take one.

Our favorites with 0-6 year olds 🧡

Paris in pictures

A weekend in Paris to visit Paris for 2 days with young children, it’s possible!
This itinerary proposes to answer the question “what to do in Paris in a weekend with children under 7 years old”. You have to find the right balance to satisfy parents and children : the Louvre for you, followed by a walk in the Tuileries Garden (playgrounds). A walk (and shopping) on the Champs-Elysées and a must-see at the Disney-Store or at the puppet show on the Champs-Elysées to please them.
