Lee Miller at MAM

Until August 2nd, the Musée d’art Moderne de Paris is dedicating a major exhibition to Lee Miller, retracing his astonishing career in 250 photos.

A New York model in the 1920s, artistic accomplice of the surrealist Man Ray in Paris, she became a photographer for Vogue before establishing herself as one of the few women war correspondents. Lee Miller was among the first to document the horrors of the camps, turning the history of photojournalism upside down.

Between hyper-glamorous portraits, and playful and surprising shots for children, the scenography also allows teenagers to discover poignant documentaries…

Thanks to creative workshops, interactive tours and explanatory panels, the visit of this exhibition is accessible on several levels. However, it is still recommended from the age of 12 because of the harshness of some images.
