The Tour de France in Montmartre ! 🚴‍♂️

After the Olympics in Paris, the Tour de France 2025 will pass through Montmartre for the first time before the grand finale on the Champs-Elysées

Totally unprecedented, this new route to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Tour, will see the riders climb the hill three times, before descending for the sprint! You will therefore have every chance to experience this event in one of the most mythical districts of Paris.

The atmosphere will be family and popular during the famous show of the Tour’s publicity caravan! In the great great tradition, the most skilful among you will catch goodies thrown from the most unusual vehicles. It’s a very festive moment that children love (and grandpa too)!

It’s up to you to wear a bobsleigh or a red and white checkered cap before cheering on punchers, sprinters and the impressive peloton shaken up on the cobbles of Montmartre. A great party not to be missed at the Lepic corner to see the yellow, green or polka dot jersey that we love so much!

A little advice: try to arrive early, because it will be crowded. The many shops will offer you well-deserved little breaks to refresh yourself and eat an ice cream

Montmartre with the family, it’s magical!

After a ride on the merry-go-round, climb up to the Sacré-Coeur basilica (and its neo-Byzantine architecture for the pro) which sits at 130 meters: the view of Paris is one of the most beautiful. Take a tour, admission is free and you will discover the largest mosaic in France inside. A stone’s throw away, the Place du Tertre immerses you in the atmosphere of the artists: it’s the perfect spot to have your portrait taken! A waffle to the sound of the limonaire? A street singer in a sailor’s shirt? It’s the atmosphere!

Looking for nature? Head for the Museum of Montmartre, and the small hidden vineyard where the folkloric grape harvest takes place every year in September. Stroll? Go on a stroll to meet the Petit Poulbot, Marcel Aymé’s Passe-muraille, in the footsteps of Amélie Poulain or Dalida !

For shopping, it’s rue des Abbesses that it’s happening, the shops are even open on Sundays, and a merry-go-round will delight the little ones! Feeling peckish? You will have the ideal place to sit down at one of the many terraces

Tired? The little train of Montmartre is ideal with the little ones and with the Montmartrobus you will go around the Butte in 40 minutes. And finally, a little romantic (or funny) detour in front of the Wall of “I love you” written in 300 languages!

Montmartre is really magical!
