This year Paris Plages celebrates its 22nd edition! Paris Plages is deckchairs and palm trees in the heart of the capital, along the Parc Rives de Seine (from the port of Solférino to the Pont Marie) with a variety of activities every day for young and old alike… It’s ideal when the weather is nice in Paris ! Paris Plages is an artificial beach in Paris, a real nautical base and swimming areas at the Bassin de la Villette (Quai de la Seine, Quai de la Loire), Canal Saint-Martin and in other places with outdoor and ephemeral swimming pools.

The Parisian Croisette : the new spot of Paris Plage 2024! For the first time, we will take a dip in the Canal Saint-Martin (near the Square Jacques Villemin). An ideal link between the two historic areas – Opening from 6 July –

The Paris Plage 2024 festivities

  • Concerts and free cultural and sports activities for all: exhibitions, sports lessons, games library and giant games, an off-site library and activities for children
  • More shady and cool spaces: palm trees, mulberry trees, and new misting areas
  • Paris Plage welcomes you to the Parc des Rives de Seine (deckchairs, walks, picnics, etc.) at La Villette and now on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin for swimming

  • On the right bank, Paris Plage stretches from the port of Solférino to the Pont Marie, with an exceptional view of the Louvre or the Musée d’Orsay as far as the Ile Saint-Louis.
  • Hundreds of deckchairs, parasols, palm trees, misters for a seaside atmosphere…
  • There are also play and relaxation areas, canoeing and kayaking on the Seine, petanque, table football, Chinese martial arts, Swedish gymnastics…..
  • For children from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: giant games on the Georges Pompidou way: giant chessboards, Power 4, Memory, Grand Domino, Frog Game…
  • A variety of activities : with Swedish gymnastics, dance classes, petanque, or table football for amateurs.
  • You have to stroll, stroll along the quays, enjoy the freshness of one of the many lawns, have a drink on a wooden terrace.
  • This year we will be able to discover street art
  • Or sit down with a book or a comic book borrowed on the spot

Paris Plage at the Bassin de la Villette

  • The Bassin de la Villette is located on the Quai de Loire (Jaurès, Stalingrad or Laumière metro stations)
  • During the summer, the Bassin de la Villette is transformed into a real free water sports centre, with swimming areas and water sports: canoeing, kayak polo, stand up paddle, pedal boats, pedal boats, small boats (for the little ones)
  • Jeux-Zoïdes with the Cafézoïde : a play and workshop area for children from 0 to 18 years old and their families.
  • Every day from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the Ludo Plages : activities and entertainment for 3-7 year olds : a real beach club on the theme of the Nautilus (submarine, zip line, climbing, slide, etc.)
  • There’s even a carousel ride set up for kids ages 5 to 12
  • And a comic book library with manga, children’s series…
  • Paris Plage at the Bassin de la Villette is 4 pools of more than 1600m² of different depths, and 2 paddling pools (fun pools) with a depth of 0.4 m and 100 m² for accompanied children
  • There are cabins, showers and toilets with free access, as well as changing rooms, lockers, deckchairs and umbrellas
  • Decent swimwear is mandatory
  • The swimming area, which is supervised, is limited to 500 people per day, and its water is controlled
  • For visitors looking for refreshments, don’t panic, refreshment stands and ice cream parlours are on site to the delight of all
  • Please note that children under 10 years old must be accompanied

In 2024, even more swimming with the ephemeral pools!

Remember to take your swimming cap, it is mandatory in all swimming places, even in the Seine!
