Unusual sports and fun family activities at La Villette

It’s a bit crazy, it’s all summer long and it’s free!

… And it’s a golden opportunity to try skateboarding, rollerblading, boccia or chess from the age of 6

On the program for this 2025 edition:

  • Introduction to chess (from 6 years old) – from July 15 to August 15, 10am-6pm: To watch chess parents: initiation, free games, tournaments
  • Snow sports (from 6 years old) – from 15 July to 31 August – 10am-6pm : discovery of roller skating and skateboarding, learning to control your board, knowing how to stop, turn and try various tricks…
  • Make your kite (from 6 years old) – from July 15 to August 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Learn how to make your kite in the traditional way, out of paper and bamboo. Then decorate it according to your imagination
  • Make a Japanese catapult plane (from 6 years old) – from July 15 to August 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: workshop combining folding and precision will appeal to young and old alike
  • Introduction to boccia (from 6 years old) – from 15 July to 31 August – 10am-1pm : Discover Boccia, a strategic Paralympic sport similar to petanque, practiced sitting with leather balls. This inclusive workshop is aimed at everyone for a friendly introduction to this precision sport that combines tactics and skill. Equipment provided, no prerequisites necessary
  • Boxing (from 9 years old) – from 15 July to 31 August – 10am-2pm : fitted helmets, gloves on: budding boxers discover educational boxing! Warm-up, learning the basic shots (hook, direct, uppercut) and practice in a safe environment, supervised by professionals
