“Cézanne and us”
At the Grand Palais
The Exhibition dedicated to Cézanne puts the artist back at the heart of his legacy. A touching theme that situates the painter’s work as a constant reference for the avant-garde of the 20th century.
Cézanne, the father of modern art?
Nearly 180 works trace the way in which his work has been discovered, interpreted and transformed, from the end of the 19th century to the present day.
Thanks to the partnership of the Musée d’Orsay de l’Orangerie and the Centre Pompidou, Cézanne’s works are questioned and questioned in front of those of Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso or Mondrian … but also Joan Mitchell, Bridget Riley and Peter Doig
Colours and essential shapes are all doors to open with children who will appreciate the diversity of the currents presented.
