Today Malmaison is a castle-museum. It was once the private residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife Empress Josephine.
Josephine acquired it in 1799. She turned it into an elegant and refined residence, the private residence of the couple. Malmaison became over the years a place where many political decisions were made. Josephine settled there permanently after her divorce and died there in 1814.

• The visit of Malmaison castle will allow you to discover several decorated rooms of marble, gilding, and mosaics.
• A rich collection of works dating from the beginning of the reign of Napoleon I is presented to the public: furniture, tables, porcelains, weapons...from the Napoleonic era.
• Several rooms of the period have been reconstructed: the mahogany bookcase of Napoleon or the oval room where Josephine died... in 1814.
• The gardens of Malmaison The empress Josephine loved roses, especially fragrant ones (her name was rose) and the rose garden has more than 150 varieties of roses
• The Black Swans are back in Malmaison. since 2017, just like in the days of Josephine

• Visits are organized for families on weekends and at Christmas.

• All year round, tours are organized with a guide.
