Discover the home of a fifteenth-century prince
A child-sized museum

The Jean Sans Peur Tower is one of Paris’ best-kept medieval secrets! Indeed, this former fortification tower built in Paris in the fifteenth century by Duke John I of Burgundy, is now converted into a child-sized museum. A visit to the John the Fearless Tower is an opportunity for a short and instructive dive into the world of the Middle Ages. The permanent collection and lively temporary exhibitions present the history, architecture and life of society in the time of John the Fearless.

The John the Fearless Tower: an ideal small museum with children

We particularly like at the John the Fearless Tower:

  • the game courses for 4-6 year olds and for 7-12 year olds offered at the reception. They allow a very fun visit to the Tower; There is an English version
  • the small reading corner with its cushions and the board game with the medieval merelle, on the ground floor, where children can wait pleasantly for the older ones;
  • the possibility of tasting in the small garden
  • The minimum price of the entrance ticket : €6 for adults, €4 for 7-18 year olds and free for the little ones.
  • a short visit that allows you to understand life in the Middle Ages;
  • the availability of reception staff to chat with the children after the visit;
  • The Fearless John Tower is open all year round from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • The visit is without prior reservation. All you have to do is go to the reception desk of the tower. Please note that it will be closed during the Christmas holidays for a few days and in August: please visit the website www.tourjeansanspeur.com
