“Critical thinking – Come and test yourself”
Can we always believe what we see or hear? This is the question that the Cité des Sciences is trying to answer by testing us with this super original exhibition “Critical Thinking”!
The programme of the test exhibition
Thanks to a connected bracelet , participants answer the tests, collect badges and obtain their assessment. Here is the route
- Scenarios and logic games
- Tests to flush out preconceived ideas
- Experimenting with information
- Situations to understand group influence
- A personalized assessment!
Between cognitive science, social psychology and sociology, the exhibition explains these mental shortcuts that lead us to make decisions quickly, but … which, unfortunately, can also mislead us
Thus, fake news, preconceived ideas and group influences are subject to our judgments and to concrete situations. In the exhibition, we explore and experiment by confronting our points of view
An interactive visit to chat with the family
From the age of 10, the course offers a great starting point for discussing concrete subjects with the family, and which particularly affect young people. Social networks, rumours, deceptive appearances and influence are at the heart of the reflection while remaining playful and without moral lessons.
Developing one’s critical mind means learning to evaluate what is presented to us as truth and to make us curious!
