In a balance between spectacle and cultural content, the striking images allow us to understand the ambition of the project carried out by Gustave Eiffel and the context in which the tower was created.
The history of the site
Between battles and military training grounds, you can discover the history of the Champs-de-Mars, the construction of the Eiffel Tower and its inauguration at the 1889 Universal Exhibition.
But the walk doesn’t stop there...
We relive the splendour of the Roaring Twenties, but also the period of the Occupation when the symbol of Paris became a symbol of resistance…
This experience, which combines immersive narration, archival images and photographs, was designed by a committee of historians.
