The Farm-Picklers are exceptional places in Île-de-France, perfect for family outings. A picking farm is a farm that allows visitors to harvest fruit, vegetables or flowers directly from the fields themselves. This concept promotes privileged contact with nature for children, access to fresh and tasty products in integrated organic production, local and seasonal. It is also a friendly activity that brings together gourmets and professionals who redouble their efforts to find the most gourmet varieties! And here, at La Croix Verte’s picking, we organize cooking workshops for children around fruits and vegetables and anti-waste!

The Green Cross Picking

The Cueillette de la Croix Verte has been welcoming the public since 1981. It now covers 54 hectares and claims a family farm over three generations. It is therefore one of the Ile-de-France pickings that have long been established in the landscape of farm outings

3 good reasons to take them to the Croix Verte picking

  1. It’s an educational outing and very fun for children. They learn to recognize fruits and vegetables. They discover aromatic plants using thesense of smell.
  2. They gain autonomy by filling their baskets themselves and handling tools (under control). And often, they are more interested in tasting and eating the vegetables they have harvested.
  3. They take a breath of fresh air and it is also an opportunity to make them aware of the environment and ecology.
