The family visit "Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs
The guided tour, for children from 6 years old, of the most famous department of Egyptian antiquities in the world
- The objective of this guided tour is to help children discover the life of the egyptians in the time of the pharaohsand the wonderful collection of Egyptian antiquities of the Louvre Museum
- The guide first explains to the children how life was organized in Egypt in ancient times. Who were the pharaohs, what did the scribes do?
- Then, she invites the children to discover the works in the windows duringa journey of discovery during which they try to decipher hieroglyphs
- The visit ends with the evocation of life after deathThis is a fundamental theme in ancient Egypt. It is the occasion to discover the mummies, the mastabas and the canopic vases...
- A small booklet will accompany the children throughout the visit

we loved the visit to the Egypt section of the Louvre. The tour guide was able to help us find the meeting place. Suitable for ages 6 and up.

difficulties with the appointment, especially as we were not contacted by sms by the guide as planned. A lot of people in the passageway and a long wait (1h) to get in, which reduced the visit time before closing time.

No accompanying booklet, no deciphering of hieroglyphs, but a very good relationship with the children and a good dose of information, presented in a playful way. A much-appreciated experience.

The tour started 1h15 late, so we were unable to follow it in its entirety due to an important appointment after 30 minutes of the 1h30. Cause: fire alarm at the Louvre. Lack of commercial sense and understanding when I asked for partial compensation. I was told that this was not the problem of the organization, which would not reimburse me. It's expensive for a 30-minute conference. It's a pity, because the speakers are top quality.

I highly recommend this tour, which appeals to adults and children alike. The speaker, Cyril, was brilliant, with an impressive verbal flow and top-notch organization. I was with a 10 year old who really enjoyed it, but the younger 6 year olds also participated a lot.

This format is ideal for family visits with children. Nathalie, our tour guide, was top-notch. She knew how to captivate her audience, young and old alike. And she knew how to adapt the ideal language and posture for children. The hour-and-a-half format was perfect. The on-site meeting at the start was also very well organized. I highly recommend the experience.

It's really a great idea for introducing our children to art and history. Marie is very generous in her approach and it's very enjoyable. The only downside is that it goes a little too fast in each room, and we could imagine activities in the booklet that are a little more stimulating for everyone, as the older children in the group quickly get the better of the younger ones. Maybe make one booklet for the older children and another for the younger ones.

This Louvre event for children is far too expensive. 1h20 guided tour for 128 euros, two children and two adults for just the explanation of a few works.... The booking went well, but the day before we were due to leave we were informed that our activity could not take place (the blame was put on Le Louvre) and another activity was offered as a replacement on another day, so the activity schedule was changed.... Although the activity was fun and interesting for the children, the quality/price ratio was unacceptable!
