On August 31st, we celebrate Ganesh in Paris!
- Ganesh, the child god with the head of an elephant, will be celebrated in Paris during a great flower and musical parade.
- India’s most revered deity, Ganesh embodies wisdom, protects children and schools, helps overcome hardships , and invites us to accept our flaws.
- Open to all, this religious procession is a unique opportunity to discover Indian culture.
- You will see the crowd of worshippers around the 5-meter-high flowered float carrying Ganesh giving his blessing, surrounded by dancers in traditional costumes adorned with peacock feathers.
- To the rhythm of the mantras, you will see the rituals: fruit offerings, fragrant jasmine necklaces, garlands and broken coconuts, symbols of prosperity. Maybe you will also have the chance to taste the sweets offered on the course!
- A 2ndtank pulled by women will carry Muruga, Ganesh’s brother. Goddess Durga will follow in a 3rd chariot
