Guignol, la sortie incontournable avec des tout-petits

Guignol is more than 200 years old (it was created in 1806) and not a wrinkle (lucky guy). It remains a great classic of the toddler showsfascinates and surprises them as much as ever. Several kiosks and theatres located in parks and gardens propose all year round puppet shows in Paris. It's usually Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and during school holidays (Zone C). Shows in the open air or sometimes covered, depending on the location. We specify this information as well as the schedules.

Puppets of Luxembourg (6th)

All shows presented at Puppet Theatre of the Luxembourg garden derive from traditional childish tales : "The Little Red Riding Hood", "The Puss in Boots", "Pinocchio" ... but also more original pieces like "Guignol and the Cirque en Folie", "The Enchanted Suitcase of Patachon", "The Little Red Balloon" ... It's about a covered room, heated in winter and ventilated in summer. It can accommodate up to 275 spectators..

Days, schedules and show rates:

  • Wednesday at 3:30 pm, Saturdays at 11 am and 3:30 pm, Sundays at 11 am and 3:30 pm
  • some days during school holidays (zone C) at 11h, 15h and 16h15
  • Duration of shows: 40 minutes (it is advisable to arrive 30 minutes before)

Puppets of the Champ-de-Mars (7th)

"Le théâtre des marionnettes parisiennes - Champ de Mars" is located 400 meters from the Eiffel Tower. it is a covered room, its Napoleon III style makes it one of the most beautiful puppet theatres in Paris.

  • Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday at 3:15 pm and 4:15 pm
  • every day during the Paris school holidays and public holidays
  • Duration of shows: 45m (it is advisable to arrive 30mn before)

Puppets of Champs-Elysées (8th)

The Théâtre de Guignol is located in the gardens of the Champs-Élysées. It's a small theater puppet in the open air.

  • public holidays at 15h, 16h and 17h
  • every day during school holidays (zone C) at 15h, 16h and 17h

Guignol à Paris

Monceau Park Punch (8th and 17th)

The puppet theatre of the Parc Monceau East an outdoor theater, in the beautiful Parc Monceau. Ideal to complete an outing to the park. Attention, in case of rain the shows are cancelled. The show lasts about 40 minutes.

Guignol of the Floral Park (12th)

Puppets of Parc Montsouris (14th)

It is a covered theatre, air-conditioned in the summer and equipped with nice club chairs for children.

The puppets of Parc Georges-Brassens (15th)

The puppet theatre in George-Brassens Park is a covered theatre, heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer.

  • Break from August 1st to August 25th

There are 2 puppet theatres in the Buttes-Chaumont park. One's covered and one's not.

Guignol of Paris (19th)

It is a covered theatre, heated in winter. The room is equipped with velvet armchairs and benches, and there is a self-service booster seat for children sitting on the armchairs. There is also a room for pushchairs and strollers at your disposal.

This is an open-air theatre. It is located near the entrance in front of the 19th century town hall.

  • every day (except Fridays) during school holidays (Zone C) at 5:00 pm

For lovers of pug, it is advisable to do them all. For example every Sunday a different place. It will be a fabulous experience for the child and he will remember it all his life. He will see that guignol can behave differently but the essence of this puppet will remain the same.
