A listed site with the peach wall, an orchard, a medieval garden, beehives and cultivated gardens<\/h2>\n\n

The gardens of the Impasse Gob\u00e9tue <\/strong>or the Garden of the Moon<\/strong> (at the end of the Impasse Gob\u00e9tue) are a small haven of peace<\/strong>. It is a listed site on former arboreal plots that extend into the upper part of Montreuil. The kind of hidden place that we like to discover and that makes us feel good, far from city life, noise and urban hustle and bustle. Located on the former site of the Peach Wall<\/strong> (built in the seventeenth century and of which only a few ruins remain), the Moon Garden<\/strong> is composed of an orchard (a must),<\/strong> small gardens cultivated<\/strong> (community gardens or allotment gardens) by associations and enthusiasts. And there are also beehives. It is a very instructive and educational walk<\/strong> thanks to the volunteers of the associations who will be happy to inform you and answer all your questions. <\/p>\n\n

Patrick and Genevi\u00e8ve’s orchard<\/h2>\n\n

The door of Patrick’s orchard<\/strong> is always open and he welcomes you with kindness. This fruit tree enthusiast <\/strong>who has been renting and cultivating this plot for more than 10 years is inexhaustible on grafts, cuttings, cultivation of fruit trees<\/strong> (apricot, apple, almond, pear, peach…). <\/strong>He sculpts them<\/strong>, twists them (gently), trains them and gives them pretty shapes (previously sketched and drawn on paper). In spring and summer, it’s a delight! <\/strong> The flowers of fruit trees are pink, white and delicate. At the back of the plot, two laying hens<\/strong> will entertain the children. <\/p>\n\n

The medieval garden<\/h2>\n\n

The volunteers of the association who take care of this medieval garden will be happy to tell you about the rare, old and little-known plants<\/strong> that grow in this garden. They make seedlings and you can buy a plant from this medieval garden for a few euros<\/strong>. It is located on the listed site of the peach wall. Right next to it, a plot of land houses a few beehives<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
