It stretches along the Seine between the 6th arrondissement (Saint-Germain des pr\u00e9s, Luxembourg Gardens) and the 13th arrondissement (Butte-aux-Cailles, Fran\u00e7ois Mitterand library, Place d&#8217;Italie). The Latin Quarter is located on the site of <strong>the Gallo-Roman city of Lutetia<\/strong>. It is above all <strong>a university district<\/strong> with, among others, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon and Assas university centers.
