The Louvre Pyramid is 21 meters high. It weighs 200 tons, and consists of 673 glass plates.


Before visiting the museum, go to Children's Bookstore. It is located in the gallery which goes from the shops of the Carrousel du Louvre to the entrance of the museum. You will find game books to visit the Louvre and other museums.

Depending on the age of the children, give yourself between 1h and 1h30 of visit, no more and go to the essential (see above).
You can also, before your visit, download the courses game a duration of about 1h30 (several themes are proposed).

In the Richelieu wing, la Little Gallery is a space dedicated to children. 2 times a year exhibitions propose to explore a theme through major works from prehistory to contemporary creation. At this moment and until July it is about understanding archeology through comics.

Children's workshops

Workshops for children of all ages For 4 to 6 year olds, 6 to 8 year olds and 8 to 12 year olds. Stroll through the Tuileries Gardens, one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris: the ponds and small boatsplaygrounds on the right of the central aisle, statues scattered everywhere and candy kiosks.
